Instructions:

For the scones, preheat the oven to 180 °C. Mix the flour with the baking powder and sift into a bowl.

Add the sugar, salt and chocolate, and loosely stir in the crème fraîche with a fork. Do not knead under any circumstances! Roll out the dough to a height of about 2-3 cm and cut out circles with a round cookie cutter about 5 cm in diameter.

Place the scones on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brush with cream and sprinkle with brown sugar.

Bake for about 15-20 minutes. They should be golden brown.

Preparation Tip:

Scones are served with clotted cream (recipe in my cookbook) and with jam.
